Lyric opera in three acts

As the penultimate season premiere file operas and operettas have prepared for you a tidbit of the international opera scene - Puccini's Turandot. After the great success of the JK Tyl Theatre in Pilsen, we offer this work here with us in Olomouc, and as in the Pilsen Theatre directed by Vaclav Malek. Turandot is unfinished opera in three acts by the Italian composer Giacomo Puccini. The original libretto by Giuseppe Adami and Renato Simoni based on the fairy tale plays of Carlo Gozzi's Turandot. Puccini had several rewrite the libretto, and therefore its completion was delayed by about a year. Puccini died in 1924 at 29. 11. unfinished work. The last two scenes of the opera then finished at the request of Puccini's son by the composer's sketches and notes his pupil Franco Alfano. The world premiere took place on 25 April 1926 at Milan's La Scala; Arturo Toscanini conducted it, regarded as leaders in their field. Performed only part compose Puccini, then lowered his baton and turned to the audience with the words: "Qui finisce l'opera, Perch questo punto il Maestro è morto" (Here opera ends, because at this point the Master died). "It was only the second time a further embodiment, the entire opera was heard in the same form as we know it today.
