Polish blood is considered to be the most popular Czech operetta. Wrote the libretto for her Viennese writer Leo Stein by Pushkin's story Miss peasant woman. The idea came Nedbalova wife Marie, when during a joint trip to Russia read the German translation of Pushkin's short stories. Nedbalova music remained significantly Czech. Although he was composer in Vienna, there succumbed to the dominant international expression. Vienna premiere in 1913 he conducted himself. Since then disappeared from the theater stage and no wonder. The story of the prodigal Polish Count Baranski, which rectifies the head and bankrupt economy spirited Helena Zarembová in the guise of a simple village girl, substitution of two women applying for one man - all promises an evening full of fun. A charming musical numbers such as "Blonde gentle," "You're cavalier, I know," "Hear just as the waltz is" bragging or landowner Zaremby know not only operetta lovers ... The production is the work of a young team director T. Pilar is already Brno audience well known from his successful productions of plays Papageno in the Magic Flute from further cooperation with NDB (operetta Gala, prices DIVA), A.
