The exhibition, organized in collaboration with the National Heritage Institute, regional specialist center in Manchester and the Statutory City of Olomouc, showcasing the historic premises of the cloister, Duke of Bohemia archaeological excavations at the historic squares of two major Central European cities - Krakow, Olomouc.
A visitor to the set of photographs acquainted with important achievement of Krakow - the establishment of a unique Underground Museum on the main town square, which represents approximately 4,000 square meters archaeologically explored the history of one of the most important Polish cities. The project called "underground market place" is one of the largest archaeological exhibitions in Europe at all. The exhibition, approaching this exceptional professional achievement, has been introduced in many European cities and was always accompanied by extraordinary public interest.
We also present the results of the archaeological survey of Olomouc Lower Square, prior to its reconstruction, aroused the attention of Olomouc and the results brought many surprising findings, demonstrating the importance of this area in the context of medieval Olomouc.
The exhibition will also be accompanied by a rich program of events, guided tours, expert lectures associated with the screening of a documentary about the Olomouc archaeological research. During the exhibition will be professional archaeological conference "Public spaces in the Middle Ages" along with miscellanea, dedicated to the field of research in the squares of major Central European centers.
