Museum of Applied Arts - events - a permanent exhibition
The exhibition shows the development and transformation of stylish furniture, textiles, glass, ceramics, porcelain and precious metals from the Middle Ages to the early 20th century. The creation of the Renaissance Italian majolica attracts file or gold plated wedding chest called Cassoni. In the Baroque hall stands a collection of engraved and polished cups, Brussels workshop Urbana Leynierse presents a tapestry kimono battle from the first quarter of the 18th century. Among the exhibits 19th century stoneware inspired deliver Vranovska English Wedgwood or series Thonet chairs. The conclusion of the exhibition is devoted to the early 20th century with works by Josef Hoffmann and the Wiener Werkstätte ad.
